I set up my On18 micro on the kitchen table for a short filming session after breakfast this morning. The result can be seen here. |

Looks good, Bob. You've got a great collection of stock there - particularly like the two green tankers......also the tractor and square saddle tank loco.
Thought for rivet-counters:- perhaps the U/E power car has been dressed up with a face for the local carnival week-end. |

Cheers Giles. The tank wagons have been awaiting conversion for a while, but this is a hobby and there's no deadline to work too.

The locos are both dummies mounted on N gauge wagon frames. The motive power being in the brake van of the passenger train (Minitrix class 27) and the stone wagon of the goods train (Kato 11-105 tram mechanism). |

Ah, you've spoiled the illusion now Bob!!! I for one had quite forgotten this fact, and it never occurred to me watching the video that the actual motive power was not in the loco in either case!!
What I did like is the way a through-line, however small, gives the impression of a lot more Railway either side, much more than a single-fiddleyard-to-terminus layout can. _________________ What is this thing called "Spare Time"...?? |

I've converted some more On30 rolling stock for use on the Seaside Line. A four wheeled van, fitted onto a Kato 11-103, makes an excellent soundbox. Just listen as it passes, it will obviously need to be rostered with the tractor on a regular basis,
