I am trying On30 for a change of pace. One of my first purchases were these "logginig disconnects" from Wiseman Products. Cast metal with little to no flash. They are a bargain at 6 for $39(US) on E-Bay. They come with metal wheel sets but no couplers. The castings have a spot for a Kadee HO scale couple pocket. I have spray painted the cars a grey primer and the sideframes a dark brown. As you can see in the photo I have glued one sideframe to the body. Next I am going to paint the wheel sets. I bought a "mask" for wheels from Micro-Mark, but it turns out they are made by AMB Laser kits. They have to be glued together. The Acrylic plastic needs a compatible glue. The instructions recommend an Ambroid glue which is no longer made. I found a product from Loctite that says it will work on Acrylics. They are currently setting on my bench too. Hopefully I can use them tomorrow and get the wheels painted.
