Today I made a start to building Chris Ellis's South Street Switching layout. One difference will be the track. I am using Peco code 75 track and the baseboard will only be 40" twelve inches shorter than in issue 56. I may need to add a fiddlestick on to the headshunt end.

Also need to get a few box cars

Just back from my local timber yard where for a few pounds I have purchased the wood to build the baseboard. Just awaiting the postman to bring a couple of wye points.
Need to work out how to post photos on here.

Have a look at the Website Update section of this site, then go to Photo Hosting for MTI. If you sign in (same id/password as used for these posts) you should get a prompt letting you browse your pc's pictures file and attach them to your MTI stored picture file, from which you can add them to your posts. Word of advice - you have to give each one a code (partly provided by this site and partly the title of your picture file), so give the pictures on your file a serial number or short name. Will make it easier to post them here.

Thanks for the advice Giles. Postman has deliver the points and track from that great shop on the Isle of Man so I hope to get stated tomorrow. If not then it will be over the Easter break. I will try and upload some photos too.

The lbsseboard hhas been build and the track is down . I have also be able to do some switching. I have made a start to the structures but am still looking for very flat low relief one had used to be available years ago. In fact it's amazing what you can't get now including reasonable priced Bachmann GE70t and a few 40t box cars. Silly prices on auction sire these days. The idea was to but most things secondhand but that is proving difficult.

Many thanks Giles for the info about uploading photo but I can't seem to be able to do it from my iPad. I have enjoyed building a HO layout again and plans are afoot to add a second layout with a run around this time.
