The works yard on the Futtocks End Railway, a 15 inch gauge agricultural layout serving a large estate.
Here is "Flora" arriving with a passenger train from the village.
There must be trouble down the line, as the maintenance crew are loading up the tool wagon
outside the workshop.
The diesel deliverrs some empty wagons to the mill.
The diesel chugs away from the dump siding having delivered some scrap metal.
Perce and Arthur are loading vegetables before going down to the village for the weekly market.
This small diesel was acquired from a mining concern, but did not last long on the line.
General view of the yard. "Flora" is still inside the shed and Mike the estate manager is looking for
Perce, her driver, to find out why she isn't at work

Very nice micro!
Re the name, shocking to think that was made nearly 40 years ago.
Cheers

I thought it had been a TV series, but now realise it was a one-off. Amazing how it's stuck in the memory.
The layout has picked up a number of invitation for 2009; I'll post details later. Meanwhile I must get down to some of the outstanding jobs, including finishing "Daisy", the new steam loco.
Edit:- "Daisy" is now finished, and appears in On My Workbench

Since finishing "Daisy", I've been busy on another conversion. "Electra", supposedly a battery locomotive, was built around the body of the Underground Ernie inspection vehicle. The first shot shows her at the Futtocks End workshop.
This view shows the side of the locomotive not often seen by the public at exhibitions.

Since posting pictures of Futtocks End I've learned how to edit them, so here's a retrospective look back at the layout
I've also tidied up most of the earlier pictures, where possible.
