I was dropping some pictures off in Surbiton yesterday and was given my copy. Others were posted on Friday, I believe.

A couple of nice views of the Editor's new N gauge version of Box Street - called Box Harbor, plus an interesting system of turnout operation with wooden push-rods. It would be easy to add a microswitch to these to add back-up frog polarity.

Because of reasons of space or picture quality some images of the Aberford Railway could not appear in the magazine.

Here is the track plan at Garforth

and a picture looking across from the old station towards Sisters Pit.

Isabella Pit, looking towards Aberford

Empress passing the Light Arch, where rail and road shared the space. We are looking towards Aberford here, so gravity working through the arch with a blind curve beyond must have been fun!

Finally a very early shot (c. 1870?) taken in the cart yard at Aberford Depot. You can see the early style of hopper wagon on the embankment.

Mine has now arrived.

Not looked closely yet but seems to be up to snuff.

Present and Correct here this morning in the West Mids...

On first browse I must say I like Nick Pallette's version of Box St, using a Single Slip instead of Double... much more prototypical I'd have thought?, and also means a bit more thinking required for shunting!!

Way back when I wrote about my then-current HO layout "Holden Stroud County" in MTI #9, I remember writing the gist of " at my rate of progress, I'll write about it before we get to MTI #103"... well that layout has long since gone, but I do have an HO layout again, it isn't finished, and the next Issue will be #103..!!! Shocked Rolling Eyes Embarassed Laughing
