After modelling 2 layouts at gn15 scale (maple shack and vulcan iron works) I switch to 7/8 th scale (or 1/12 scale, doll house scale). It's a fictional layout for fisherman located at woolacombe (north devon, uk). The size is 140 cm by 72.5 cm plus a fiddle yard not shows). The base is an hollow core door plus pink foam on it and a little plaster.
I made some progress during september : I rust the rail, put 2 layers of sand and I begin to add few plants.

Just what every good beach needs! Very nice, particularly the rusty and salt-stained buffers. |

I have to ask, what are all the trophies for? Your modelling maybe?

The trophies are not mine, I'm not doing train for that and I have not enough talent unfortunately. I belong to a club of train, boat, air plane and kits. All the trophies belong more or less to the boat section (world championship, world record, ...). _________________ FRANCK COMBE

Excellent in its simplicity. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I think the most striking part that really set's the whole module off is the frontage...in the same weathered, driftwoody style as the wood on the model...very very effective. _________________ My views are my own, and usually reprehensible |

I saw/smelt something like that on Steve Cook's "Dungeness Siding" in gauge 1. He had a sea weedy smell blowing through a section of pipe above or behind it

I took inspiration on Steve Cook's "Dungeness Siding" that did an excellent work. _________________ FRANCK COMBE

The plants grow quickly ... and now seem more natural

This is the crab shack for selling the crabs and fish. I will need to do a little weathering on the roof, add the logo, fisherman and accessories
