Hi
Uploaded a video of my new layout on Youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7Sul2nX2zQ
Taken at Crewe last Sunday. Its first outing

The loco (owned by Nick Palette) is an Atlas GP38 fitted QSI sound ,the main reason for DCC on a small layout.

The layout itself is 5' by 1'

haven't seen this on RMWeb (too big and busy for me most of the time)
But I really like it! Not least because I'm planning something very similar.. I've got a BN geep in Great Northern Blue livery with sound and a handful of suitable covered hoppers.
I've had 'fun' with the sound though - getting a suitable speaker in there - distinct lack of volume.

Anyhoo -I won't be copying, honest! Liking the greenery btw

Martin, if you're free on Saturday 28th November Chris will be at Northampton show with Haston Nomad, it's a new venue this year - Weston Favell School, Booth Lane South, Northampton, Northamptonshire NN3 3EZ, open 10.30am to 4pm. The show will also include Nick Palette's Scottish BLT Lochnagar and I'll be there providing a bit of Latin American flavour with the Ferrocarril Consolidado Pampa y Fernandez.

I saw, and heard, Haston Nomad in operation at Crewe. It is quite a stunning little layout and well worth the trip down the M1.

great pictures.. I'm really jealous of your detail work - the ballast and undergrowth is brilliant.
Thanks Bob - I'll stick it in my diary!

I think it's great too... Grain Silos, Covered Hoppers... right up my street!!!
Trouble is it's giving me ideas (along with Ian 'Trainspotter USA's 5-day layout) for my O gauge stuff... as if I haven't got enough to do.... Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad Razz Laughing Laughing
