A couple of days ago I was asked if I could produce a OO 15ft turntable. I had not realised some railway companies had them(Midland Railway is one example) , especially as I have not found any wagons for which the extra length would be necessary.
It would make it easier, especially in model form, so I have done a 15ft(60mm) version. By chance(?) , the outside surrounds and base for making it working, can accommodate the longer turntable, making it a lot easier, and less risk of problems in design.
Apart from the actual turntable being longer, and the hole it sits in being bigger, the stone surrounds are modified and the operating arm lengthened.
I have also added a version of the base and surrounds without the stone surface, so you can add your own. It is therefore different to the plan flat surround, being .5mm lower. The turntables are unchanged, but I could do a similar version for that.
I have looked at the O gauge version. Unfortunately the base is too small to take the bigger turntable so will need more modification.
This has made a nice distraction from the SM32 and G/G1 gauge inset track I am designing. Due to the coarser wheel standards I have had a fe(expensive?) problems. I think I have sorted it, so I can continue, and it will also include wagon turntables, but not sure on diameter yet.

Will try anything once, looking for the ultimate easy to set up portable exhibition layout, preferably French narrow gauge and with lots going on, not necessary on the rails.
