The Brighton MRC show is being held at the White Ladies Community Centre, Patcham, Brighton on 14/15 November (10-5 Saturday, 10-4.30 Sunday).

I'll be there with Puerto Paseo, among about a dozen other layouts. It looks as if I may be short of operators, so if you're reasonably nearby, available and willing to be on a stand-by list, your help would be appreciated. Please pm me.

Enjoy the show, and don't forget to take your camera, you know what we're like for photos of exhibitions!

So much for good intentions. Having to get up at (for me) the crack of dawn so as to leave at 7am, I quite forgot to pick up the camera. Embarassed

Having said that it was a good show, with some nice layouts, including one German N gauge with full sound. The sound chips had been tweaked so as to give the proper sounds at the right time - steam, electric and diesel. They had signal checks in the centre of the layout to enable the stopping and starting to be appreciated. Very impressive. I also liked Dufftown, 009 based around a whiskey distillery near a through station, plus a branch serving a quarry and brick-making area. Another layout was a London-based joint line in Southern territory, named Bohemia. All dark arches, factory backs and the odd bombed-out terraced house.
