Has anyone got any brass, round-headed coach buffers(4mm scale) they no longer need? The type I'm hoping to find were, I think, originally ERG parts, but must have passed to another maker later.

Can you be a bit more specific please Giles? Type of coach maybe or size?

Might have some whitemetal ones if any use.

Cheers

steve

Steve,

They're intended for freelance coaches (upgrading old Triang tramway coaches that have some buffer loss; see my recent Shellsea posts in the workshop section). The sort of thing that GWR (or other companies) might have put on their 4-wheeled coaches pre 1920. I have several different types of coaches in need , so the buffers don't all need to be a perfect match.

I have some examples somewhere I'm trying to match, and will dig them out for a photo - tomorrow if I have time.

Giles,

I'll have a ferret about in my stores and see what I can find.

Are good whitemetal ones acceptable as I have more of them?

Cheers

steve

Steve,

Many thanks - no they don't have to be brass, white metal is fine - just stronger than plastic ones!
