Issue no.3 of SRI dropped through the letterbox this morning. Another interesting batch of articles, this time with plenty to please those who model American railroads.
Good to see articles from Jordan Foster and Ian Bareham and......an article on detailing an Alco S4 from our very own Chris Ellis, this time with super quality colour photo's.
The SRI 'Project' layout is also progressing nicely looking at the photo's.
I'll have a good read this evening.

All the SRI No3's went out over the weekend apart from a couple to be hand delivered at Expong on Saturday.
What I've noticed thus far is that despite all having a standard identical 2nd class stamp, some arrive the next day ala 1st class post. I've no idea why that is.
No 4 is already done all bar any readers letters and will go out in the first week of January to avoid getting caught in the Christmas postal bunfight. See the web page for contents.
Chris.

Arrived today Cool a fair bit of in-depth reading this time. Makes a change to all the full-size, page-filler photos in some of the mainstream mags!
I like the guide to the "new" Waverley Route. A 'KISS' explanation. Wink

Mine was in the mailbox when I got back from work yesterday.
Very good mix of articles; I was especially impressed with the brickwork on Orchard End.
I'll have to pop up to Tweedbank some time.......nice to see a new/reopened route.
If anyone's interested in more, earlier, photos of Ham Street, the Flickr album mentioned in the article is here: https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/blue-pelican-railways/16352578681/ but be warned; there are also several thousand photos of other places mostly seeming to date from the 1970s.......you may find you lose the odd few weeks looking through them all and the photostream seems to be expanding faster than I can keep up with!
Clicking here: https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/blue-pelican-railways/ takes you to the photostream index; ten photos per page and (as I type this) 328 pages........ Shocked

Simon.
