It's my birthday so I got myself a real 00 gauge toy train a couple of weeks ago.

Got it running today

Definitely a bit of fun

Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think a lot of us, certainly the older end of the membership anyway, started our toy train careers with tinplate. I used to have a garter blue "Mallard" which, with hindsight, had far to few wheels to be a pacific. Very Happy

I think I remember the name Brimtoy, but it was for clockwork trains - mine (I think) might have been a 4-wheeled Bulleid BOB Pacific named Spitfire. This would have been around 1954, or thereabouts.
